The BODMAS Rule is a standard order of operations used to simplify mathematical expressions.
It ensures that everyone solves expressions in the same correct sequence.

Example 1: Simplify 6+2×56 + 2 × 5

Apply BODMAS:

  1. Multiplication first:
    2×5 = 102 × 5 = 10
  2. Then addition:
    6+10 =166 + 10 = 16
Answer: 16
Example 2: Simplify (12−4) ÷ 2(12 – 4) ÷ 2
  1. Solve brackets:
    12−4=812 – 4 = 8
  2. Divide:
    8÷2=48 ÷ 2 = 4
Answer: 4
Example 3: Simplify 3 + 52 − 73 + 5^2 – 7
  1. Orders first:
    52 = 255^2  = 25
  2. Then left-to-right:
    3 + 25 − 7 = 28 − 7 = 213 + 25 – 7 = 28 – 7 = 21

Answer: 21

Example 4: Simplify 40 ÷ 5 × 240 ÷ 5 × 2
